Robot Kits and Micro:bits! (Ages 8-10)

Session Dates (4): Thursday, November 20th Thursday, December 4th Thursday, December 11th Thursday, December 18th Time: 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM Description: In this hands-on workshop, kids ages 8–10 will dive into the world of robots and coding using the micro:bit controller and a variety of codable robot kits like Artie and Mech 5 by Teach Tech. They’ll learn how to program lights, sounds, and movements, then experiment with different ways to bring their robot creations to life. From drawing robots to mechanical movers, every project is a new adventure in creativity, coding, and engineering fun! Please note: Micro:bit kits are provided for class use and stay at Gizmo unless parents purchase the materials kit--a micro:bit, USB cord and instructions for a fee of $20. Age: 8-10 Cost: $90 (optional: take-home materials fee of $20)
