Mosaic Arts - Session 2 (Ages 8-10)

Get ready to piece together art, history, and imagination in this colorful Mosaic Arts adventure for ages 8-10! In this two session series, each session is two weeks, young artists will step "into the studio" of famous mosaic masters to explore how tiny pieces can make big art. In this second session, they'll travel back in time to explore the intricate world of Roman tile mosaics created by artists like Pietro Cavallini and the beautiful mosaic floors found in ancient Roman architecture, creating beautiful patterned designs inspired by these cultural masterpieces. Along the way, students will learn how to safely use mosaic tools, experiment with color and texture, and earn badges for skills and tool use and they bring their own mosaic masterpieces to life. From ancient patterns to modern flair, this class is all about creativity, craftsmanship, and discovering the joy of making art - one tile at a time! Age: 8-10+
