Jazz Piano Benefit Concert featuring recording artist Chris James Gootherts

Chris James Gootherts has performed under the stage name Chris James since the early 1970's. His style been described as eclectic, bombastic, subtle, moving, fun, solemn, and frenetic! He always brings humor and stories to every show. Chris has shared the stage with many jazz legends including Stan Getz, Dave Brubeck, Ramsey Lewis, Sarah Vaughan, Billy Eckstein, Carmen McCrae, and has performed at the Monterey and Russian River jazz festivals, jazz themed cruises, colleges, clubs, and concerts throughout the US. His first album titled "Dessert" was released in 1986 on Catero Records. Other albums include "Piano Christmas", "Just One More Kiss", "First Take," and 2 live albums from Spiritfest Midwest with the Power of God band. Chris is originally from the San Francisco bay area and moved to Coeur d'Alene in 2022.
