Learn to throw pottery in Gizmo's clay studio! Session Dates (6): Thursday, May 22, 2025 Thursday, May 29, 2025 Thursday, June 5, 2025 Thursday, June 12, 2025 Thursday, June 19, 2025 Thursday, June 26, 2025 Time: 6:00PM - 9:00PM **Please note, class times fall outside of Gizmo's normal operating hours. Doors will not open for this class until 15 minutes prior to start. Description: Join us for an introductory class on throwing pottery on the wheel. Learn the skills necessary to center, open and pull your first cylinder. It’s the perfect way to get your hands in the clay and discover if pottery is for you. This class is designed for students with little to no experience on the potter's wheel. This class will also cover glazing. The Fundamentals class is a great way to build confidence in preparing clay, mastering centering, and refining your basic throwing techniques. Dive in and experience the joy of creating with clay! Cost of class includes weekly instruction, studio clay, studio glazes and firing. You should expect to finish 3-5 pieces in the course of the class that will be yours to keep. Note: Wheel throwing is physically demanding and requires holding static positions for extended periods of time.
