FREE Code d'Alene Workshop: Create Your Own Roblox Obby! (Ages 11-13)

Session Date: Friday, December 12th Time: 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM Description: In this one-day, hands-on workshop for ages 11–13, you’ll visit UI's Robotics labs at NIC and use Roblox Studio (and the AI Assistant!) to design and build your very own obstacle course game, or “obby.” You’ll imagine exciting challenges—jumping platforms, tricky paths, and final goals—and then bring them to life, block by block. As you work, you’ll explore how AI can help speed up your design and even unlock creative ideas. Along the way, you’ll dive into core computer science concepts like game design, level building, and basic scripting. By the end, you’ll not only have built your own playable Roblox obby—you’ll also see how the tools you used connect to real game development. Age: 11-13 Cost: Free! (please reserve your spot)
