This course is designed to teach the fundamentals of working in the metal shop with copper including safety protocols, basic techniques, and essential tools. Session Date: December 13th Time: 1:00 - 5:00 PM Description: In this class students will learn how to safely and properly use the oxyacetylene torch, the properties of copper, the difference of work hardened vs. annealed, annealing copper, measuring and layout, cutting shapes with the beverly shear, sanding and deburring, hammer texturing, basic fold forming and shaping into a bracelet/cuff. Each student will take home a beautiful, custom, handmade copper cuff. Students must wear closed toed shoes and attire which is natural fibers. (Cotton, wool, denim, etc....) No sythentic clothing (polyester, spandex, nylon, etc...) Age: 16 years or older. Cost: $80.00 for class + $15.00 for materials Instructed By: Dave Gonzalez
